We are the new Polish Match Racing Champions!

What an incredible weekend at the Szczecin Match Race 2024 (Polish Match Tour – Sailing World Cup)

We entered two teams – HRM Racing Team (the Core Team) and HRM Racing Youth Team (the Youth Team), both of which performing impressively against a very strong international field from Poland, France and the Netherlands.

Our younger team, the Youth Team, was the youngest crew in the entire competition, with an average age of just 21. The final races were incredibly tight – ultimately, we secured 3rd place in the World Cup, and 1st place in the Polish Championship, becoming the new Polish Champions!

The Core Team also showed great skill, finishing 4th among the Polish teams and 7th overall in the World Cup standings .

We’re extremely proud of both crews and thrilled with the final results. It was a weekend full of excitement, competition, and hard work that paid off .

Michał Krasodomski, our Polish Olympian, after the winning race said:

“I am very pleased with how we performed. We raced against:

– crews that had already reached the title of Polish champion several times,

– French crews who are ranked in the top 10 of the world match race ranking.

To regatta level was incredibly high. After each race we learned lessons and made fewer and fewer mistakes. Of our crew I have the least experience on a RS21 class boat, but the whole team was very helpful and gave me a lot of advice, so we managed to do the job right and win the title.”
