That’s it – the final stage of the Polish Sailing Extra League
HRM Racing Yacht Club finished the season placing 5th out of 18 teams, in the highest level of the Polish league.
It was a tough regatta for us. Due to illness within the team, we had to change our starting lineup. Kuba Gołębiowski was replaced by Jean-Baptiste Ducamin, our coach. At the start of the races, we felt the impact of our reduced training.
As Jean-Baptiste said: “I’m really happy I got to take part in the PLZ. It was a real pleasure to sail, even though I was a bit rusty, especially at the helm of this type of boat. The regatta had a very high level of competition, with lots of action. Every small mistake came at a price. However, we had a great learning curve throughout the weekend, and we’re happy to have finished the last 5 flights between 1st and 4th place.”
Last year, we finished 9th overall, so the progress is clear. We aimed for the podium, so we’re still a bit disappointed. But hey, 2025 will be ours!
Congratulations to the teams that finished the league ahead of us:
Yacht Club Sopot
Nowy Sztynort Osada Wolności Giżycka Grupa Regatowa
