HRM Racing wywozi z Bahrajnu drugie miejsce

We are incredibly proud to announce that the HRM Racing Yacht Club will be representing Poland at the Youth Match Racing World Championship in Gdynia! All the young sailors are members of the HRM Racing Youth Team. This is an honor for us and a confirmation of the hard work put in by the entire team.

Since Wednesday, July 19, 2025, our team has been training intensively, preparing for this prestigious event. Each day is an opportunity to master key maneuvers that will allow for effective navigation of the course, quick responses to changing conditions, and optimal utilization of the wind. We know that synchronization, effective communication, and the crew’s attention to detail are the foundation of success. We believe our sailors will give their best and have a real chance to reach the podium.

About the Championship

The 2025 Youth Match Racing World Championship is one of the most significant sailing events of the 2025 season in Poland. The championship will take place from July 23-27 in Gdynia. The regatta is organized by the Polish Yachting Association. “Match racing is a format of regatta where only two yachts compete on the course simultaneously. The pre-start phase is crucial – crews maneuver during this time, attempting to gain a tactical advantage and force their opponent into a mistake. Races are umpired on the water, and penalties (a 270° turn) must be performed before crossing the finish line. Tactics focus on controlling the rival, blocking their moves, and using the rules to one’s advantage. The first one to cross the finish line wins”[1]. The competition will be held on a fleet of nine identical RS21 class boats, the same ones used in the Polish Sailing League, ensuring equal opportunities for all teams.

The championship will feature 16 of the best youth crews from 12 countries, including our pride – the Polish representative team, HRM Racing, with Michał Krasodomski at the helm.
