participated in the EUROSAF Match Racing Open European Championship in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

This was not our regatta. Four days without wind with a view of the ominous fumes of burning Ural forests caused by extreme heat.
During the entire regatta, less than half of the group round races were held. The commission ran power races even after sunset, and the boats ran more driven by inertia and the will of the competitors than by the wind itself.
Mother Nature – so destroyed by man – was handing out the cards.
No wind, hot days, long hours of waiting for the start on a permanent watch … all these conditions made it very difficult to concentrate, and here we can see the reason for our failure.
Because the zero balance of points scored and the last place in this group is a failure for us.
We leave Russia disappointed with our results and grateful for this lesson in humility from Mother Nature.
We fought to the end, leaving our hearts on board, but unfortunately – not this time.
