The beginnings

Kacper “got infected by sailing” in preschool, from his father – he was his first coach at the initial stage of his adventure with wind and water. At the age of 7, he joined the Sports Club Baza Mrągowo – a place of honing sailing talents.

Carieer

At the age of 10, he began his adventure at the School of Sports Championship in Mrągowo, of which he is a proud graduate. Like most competitors, he started racing on sailboats in Optimist class, switching to L’Équipe class, and then to Olympic classes 470 and 49er. In winter, when the lakes in Poland froze, he participated in ice-regatta on Ice-Optimist and DN.

After graduating from high school in 2010, he began ocean engineering studies at the Gdańsk University of Technology and joined the university team “PG Racing”. There he competed in the Omega class of Polish Sailing League and began his first starts in match racing and sea ORC regattas.

After several years of racing on larger yachts and graduating from the PG, in 2017 he joined the HRM Racing Team.

Multimedalist of: world cup match racing championships, Polish sailing championships (L’Équipe, 470, Omega and Skippi 650 classes), Ice-Opti and DN Polish championships and Polish academic championships. Winner of over 100 trophies in domestic and foreign competitions.
