The beginnings

He started sailing at the age of 4 when he attended his first sailing camp! He obtained his competitor’s licence at the age of 7, and that is when he started competing in regattas. He has been involved with the Yacht Klub Polski Gdynia from the very beginning and has spent most of his life on the water at the helm.

Career

He sailed Optimist until the age of 15 (11 seasons). During this time, he qualified for the World and European Championships 3 times. He won his first Polish Championship at the age of 8 at the Polish U9 Championships in Iława. Since then, he has regularly stood on the podium in various regattas. After Optimist, it was time for the 29er class – with more focus on foreign regattas. After 3 seasons in the 29er class, he changed the sailing category to “flying boats”. He is currently sailing in the Moth class (single foil boat) for the second season – during which time he won 3rd place in the Polish Championships. In the meantime, he has competed in some of the most famous ocean races – he spent a lot of time on the VO65 yacht in team Sailing Poland, where his team won 2nd place in The Ocean Race Europe. Currently, he is involved in the HRM project and competing in the Moth class. It is worth mentioning that he races in ice sailing (DN class), in which he is one of the leading competitors in the world and a medallist at the World and European Championships.
