The beginnings

The adventure with sailing Mateusz began in elementary school. In 1994 he joined the sailing club, in which he sailed on small Laser boats and Micro cabin boats. There he also competed in local regattas.

Career

He started serious regatta swimming in high school, in classes IMS and ORC. He took part in national and international regattas. Several times he became medalist of the Polish championships in mentioned classes.

In the years 2010–2014 a member of the Moonraker Sailing Team, taking part in the J80 class regatta across Europe. A member of the MAG RACING crew participating in the RC44 class regatta. In 2012 he began his adventure with match racing.

He joined the HRM Racing Team as one of the first crew members in 2015.

• 2nd place in general classification of Polish Sailing League
• 3rd place Polish Match Racing Championship

• 2nd place Swinoujscie Match Race, Poland

2017

• 2nd place Delta Lloyd Open Dutch Championships

2016

• 2nd place Swinoujscie Match Race 2016 G2, Poland

Privately

Mateusz runs his own business related to machine construction. During the breaks from sailing, he trains ice hockey. In his free time, he rides a bicycle and relaxes by a good movie.
